What does it mean when your laptop suddenly shows a static screen?

@Aidolovemostofyourthoughts: looks like this is a common problem with Lenovo. You might want to call them or if you have sales reciepts get a refund. Seems like something the ordinary Joe can fix😕

@Contagious: I had to hard shut it down. There seems no problem now but it was just odd. Like a scene from an alien movie.
