If in IRL everyone could read each others thoughts. Do you think we'd run screaming or achieve world peace?

It wouldn't bring world peace. Just because one knows what someone else is thinking doesn't mean they'd understand or tolerate the person. I don't think much would change at all.
I believe it would make understanding others easier. However that doesn't mean some people will listen. In order to understand you need to listen which everyone does less of these days.
