On certain subjects-yes. Age defines maturity, or experience rather. That is not to say you aren't highly intelligent or capable of understanding.
There are two kinds of people. Readers and Writers. Readers have experience through the views of writers. Writers have the experience and live to tell it to readers. They are symbiotic.

interesting idea, but i think to be writer you must first be reader, to know how to understand experience.

@PartTimeModel: i was just thinking about "experience" and "experiences" - example, a syrian child refugee may have terrible experiences, but not have the experience to understand them.

@Yulianna: That is a good example. A child grows up, processes, learns and gains strength and knowledge from experiences, however horrific. Then one becomes experienced.
