@Aidolovemostofyourthoughts: we are not the same all through our life. situations bring the change in ourselves

SW-User
@swgirl25: Its what I am saying. It's all circumstantial. And we cannot really predict how we will handle it, until we are deep in it.

If behind yourself implies making people feel uncomfortable around you, then look for people you have more in common with. But if being yourself means hurting other people, I would suggest to start reading eastern philosophers. If you're not doing so hey. ;-)

As gently and respectfully as possible, but you can't control the other persons reactions.

@Aidolovemostofyourthoughts: True, and as a sensitive type myself. I do feel guilty for it.

SW-User
@76starships: Yes! And often my guilt with these things end up making me digging myself in bigger holes. Gah.

@Aidolovemostofyourthoughts: I know that problem exactly.

I'd be honest, yet understanding & compassionate towards that other person, unless they're directly opposing me, then I would be more straightforward.
Equanimous · 51-55, M
With compassion for myself and good wishes for others.
If it's someone I care about, I try to make them understand.

SW-User
Yeah me too. But, there might be things they just will not accept, and then you got to make a decision. By you, I do not mean you personally.

They get hurt, there is no other way

SW-User
No one does. Some one has to get hurt.

SW-User
unfortunately yes.
