Well I know he's lying to me now

Roomie came home yesterday, hung out for a bit, then said he had to make a call and excused himself. Okay whatevs.

Then he comes back in after about 10 mins, and proceeds to go about his routine of shaving in the hallways bathroom (better light than in his bathroom), and he casually mentions, "Oh, hey, apparently the Hallmark store is hiring for the holidays if you want to apply there."

I say "Oh, okay, yeah I'll fill one out and see what happens."

Then he adds, "Yeah Lorraine said she shops there and saw that they're hiring and thought of you."

Oh.

Well.

Is that so? 😒

Lorraine is his little gf who he refuses to admit he likes. She's a petite little blonde and the mom of one of his daughters friends. I've met her twice, we were polite to each other, I have nothing against HER personally. But I had a gut feeling that he was attracted to her back when he and I were a couple, and he always denied it. Now that he and I are just roommates, he still refuses to admit there is anything going on between him and her.

Why? Like, don't insult my intelligence by continuing to deny that you guys are all buddy/buddy now that you're both single? 🙄

So now I don't want to apply at Hallmark, because I'll have to see that woman sometimes. And I DEFINITELY don't believe she and roomie are "just friends", because apparently he's out here telling her MY business (that I'm looking for a job) and he wouldn't do that with just anybody.

It put me in a hella bad mood.

Try not to let it get you down. Focus on your own life. If the job is available then go for it..fuck them..focus on you!

Oh no, don't let it get you down. 🙂

That would piss me off to no end. Seems to me when it comes to being in relationships with other women, his self esteem seems to be really low.
Don't overthink it. There are people that we keep as friends and nothing more, although if she is petite and blond... hmmm...
Ask her out for lunch and ask her what she thinks of him instead of only getting answers from one side.

Maybe he's just concerned for you being unemployed

That would piss me off and put me off applying too.

Even if they are more than "just friends" he doesn`t need to be telling her your business. I don`t blame you for being pissed.

He needs to keep your business to himself!
