Do you want to vent here but for some reason you don't?

Because you think people will think you're whining, or being negative, overreacting etc?

I have some crippling issues I'm dealing with for several years, due to extreme abuse for two decades from a sadistic mom. Some days I'd like to get it out , because it's just a hell to have been around her horrid, appalling treatment so long. I get MAD, sad, then hopeless. That I had to have one of the fucking most awful people in this world as my mom, then you feel how can I ever heal?? And not view myself as a tainted piece of trash??

That's just a tiny portion for now, but to think your own parent could ever hint at they'd possibly kill you....? It's a nightmare. And my life daily, is small and a poison because of it. I'm going to retry therapy again so I have a sliver of hope to one day feel Good about who i am.
Sometimes I'd like to write even more but know people will scroll right past or think oh just get over it. Do you want to share a deep fear, story, etc but refrain sometimes?

People judge you no matter what you do or say, so my thought is, who cares?

The people who think you are only your problems will go away yes. The people who can't deal with anything being not perfect. The people who pretend and are afraid of their own issues. But what's so great about people who are only there for the good times?

I personally don't care. Nobody uses anything for leverage on me. Sure people talk crap but that's because they're losers who start drama out of boredom or hiding their own issues they're too proud to admit

So we're all pretty obvious honestly. So why not be honest?

I share my stuff. It feels good to say it. I don't need advice or sympathy, it just feels good to get the words out and make it real outside of my head. It's been very therapeutic. There are good people here though who don't hide from everything. They see you being yourself, being brave and working through the hard stuff, and they appreciate that. Rather than just using a site meant for community and support to start drama and spread lies, lol there's a lot of people here who are nearly as fake as catfish.

So yeah I don't care about the "good vibes" only people. Why would I want someone in my life who gets annoyed with me when I start getting pain or muscle spasms? That's part of my life. My PTSD affects my life, it's part of me like it or not. I didn't choose it so I'm not going to feel ashamed of it.

@Baybreeze All I can say is sorry to those people who have so little capacity for kindness and understanding they can't give anything.

These days I look at it as peoples issues with me are theirs not mine.

I can't do much these days either. I minimally socialize but even going to the grocery store sometimes is hard. I have to lay down after a few hours of a gathering lol

But I notice you do your walks and you enjoy nature. That's so wonderful and healing for you. You are doing the work, it's just slow and quiet. I wish there was something to erase it all like it never happened but it that's not how it works.

A lot of people who don't understand chronic pain are going to be twats about it. If they ditch you it's because they can't use you anymore and losing people like that is a blessing.

You just keep doing you. You're wonderful just as you are. I mean it.

@EldritchFox I recently thought of that..what would my life be if all of this poisonous toxic horror could be simply erased or healed ?? It would be free, happy, confident....I'll still work daily at it, but man it takes a lot of time and work undoing it. Thanks for your kindness, it means a lot. 🌼🐦🍁

Yes. I try to put it into a poem but sometimes I don’t want to need to be creative and just want to vent shit out but then shut down and either don’t do it hold back or delete it because sometimes I think there are people who have it so much worse than me that I’ve no right to be venting or worse id pour out the pain and it just not be seen read or acknowledge and that would hurt to so it really just depends. I too recently started going back to therapy and im trying to remain hopeful that eventually it won’t always be like this you know?

I’m so sorry to hear about the horrors you went through with your mother that is horrible and you should absolutely vent about it here and I hope you know that she was the one who was sick. Sadly we can’t help the family we are born into. You’re a beautiful person and soul despite the horrors you had to face so early in life.

I hope you write here and keep sharing here and I hope you know that you’re beautiful loved and cared for deeply

@Baybreeze yeah mental and emotional healing and comfort is needed and to know you are worthy of care and happiness and safety just like anyone else. it's only right.. so don't ever think less of yourself that your thoughts and feeling don't matter because they are just as important as anything else out there .. and i'm sorry if you ever thought or felt differently especially if you were made to think or feel that by your abuser because they were wrong, beyond wrong and evil to the core and you need to be free of their bad influence 😐 be kind to and value and cherish yourself and happiness just like you would to your own children @MyMonstersAreReal

I think this is a very appropriate place for venting. We can say things to online friends that are harder to say to real life friends. But that doesn’t mean it’s easy to do. In answer to your specific question—yes, I often refrain from sharing the serious stuff here. When I do it tends to be in a private post or a message to a friend.

I am sorry you are going through that
JoyfulSilence · 51-55, M
Sometimes. And years ago on here I shared more pain.

But I usually nowadays just want to focus on more positive things, uplifting things. I do not wish to come here to feel bad. And I don't think I can be much help to people with their problems. And it takes a lot of effort and energy. I used to be more engaged and worried about people on here, but it is just too much at times so I learned to step back. Loosen up. Be more silly than serious.

Sorry for your pain.

Today is the first day of the rest of your life. You can make it be whatever you want. Good luck.

The truth is, people will criticize for almost anything.

I do not let it bother me that people will scroll past it, and I can't seem to care what they think,
I guess they will think what they do, as we have no control over that.

I write those posts for me, and if they are of any use to others, great; if not, I encourage them to scroll right past.

I see no excuse for being nasty to someone, myself.
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
Yeah. I don't because random people don't need to know too much about me. Any information can turn into a weapon in people's hands if they want to target you and you feel down enough to be sensitive about it. So I rather complain about inane stuff.
@CrazyMusicLover I won’t even ask a question anymore, they just pounce 😳. I’ll stick to private messaging, writing, reading and commenting on others posts 😀
