He started trash talking me to anyone who would listen. It got back to me from reliable sources. Homey don't play that.
@uncalled4 Homey shouldn’t have to play that. People are tripping over their own egos. 😞

@Unefilletrescurieuse We eventually concluded he has a narcissistic streak.

We were friends thirty years. I lived with him and his girlfriend and he assaulted her.

They are still there.
I got two of em. 🙂
There’s not enough time in a day for me to tell you. I just cut 2 lifelong friends out of my life and another one for quite a few years.

I honestly feel like I have PTSD after letting the lifelong friends go, but it had to be done. It’s distressing for me, and it’s the last thing I need right now because I’m trying to heal from a health condition Covid left me with. Very sad but I just want to save myself from a few tears later down the road.

If there’s one thing to be learned from our “so called” friends, it’s:

“People can only treat us like we allow them to.”

Oh they might do you wrong once but if the same offense keeps occurring, then we are permitting it. So yeah we are in control of how they treat us at a certain point.

I’d rather have NO friends than people that are so self absorbed, they can’t see themselves, and it’s always about them. 😞

He got married to a social media addict who lacked the mental AND moral fortitude to acknowledge that people she disagreed with were people she disagreed with, as opposed to horrible monsters. Then, for health and family reasons, they moved to Texas.

You'd think that being surrounded by people who were (mostly) more conservative would give her a chance to meet and interact with them, showing her her mistakes and letting her become a better person- but they moved to Austin, the Portland of Texas. The temptations of victimhood complex paranoia are far too great for such people to resist, and she dove headfirst into that well just in time for the Covid outbreak.

The history books of the future are NOT going to look kindly on us on that subject. How much was for the sake of grabbing political power, how much was for the covering of the asses of the people and organizations involved in illegal research, and how much was simple panic we'll probably never know, but a century's worth of medical knowledge was thrown aside, and the entire economic future of the first and second worlds, was sacrificed on the altar of fear. Any death within a month (varying slightly by jurisdiction) of a positive Covid test was classed as a "Covid death"- ANY death. George Floyd? Tested positive at his autopsy; according to the CDC figures, he died of Covid. And even WITH that ridiculous classification system, do you know what Covid-19 (not just SARS-Covid-2, straight up 19)'s fatality rate is?

0.3%. Just over half of the lethality (CFR to CFR) of the great and terrible killer you know as... chicken pox. THAT is what all the suffering was for.

My friend, a guy for whom I wept, sweated and bled, who I called, and thought of as, a brother, was the child of a medical family. He sure as hell KNEW better; if not from the get-go, then from a month in, when it became obvious this was all a terrible mistake, that even the average centenarian was in no danger. But he lacked the will to resist his wife, and cut off all ties with me.

People change, life changes, moved on as life does.

Died of lung cancer at 49 we were good friends hated to see his wife and sons watch him go through all of the ordeal.
They sound shitty.

I currently have my best friend blocked. As much I love them to pieces, I know full well it won't cure them of being a narcissist (this isn't me just throwing this word around... I promise.) after 17 years, I've just had enough. 😔🥺

He wanted me to make a florida to boston drug run 6 or 8 years ago. Then he wanted to move in. He's very smart, smarter than me but has problems. He got pissed that I said no to him living here, and the drug run thing told me he's become a bad friend, and that was the end of it
Quetzalcoatlus · 51-55, M
He got deported

It was a combination of things. Knew the guy since 2nd grade for starters. Over time we became different people and he changed a lot when he started hanging around these other people. He became stuck up and snobby and focused on labels and kept treating me like the poor friend. He would lie about what city he was from to those people making it seem like he was from a more well to do area. I got replaced over time by someone else and got knocked out of the bestfriend slot. Final straw was him lying to get out of going to an event with me to tend to his other friend. I let loose and never looked back. We were nearly 30 then

One passed away, one turned into a dirt bag as he got older, and the other turned out to be a nut case.
