Do you keep having to put your hand in the personal 'scuz bucket' when dealing with other people's shit that shouldn't concern you?
It happens a lot - primarily it's an artefact of modern dating culture where women expect men to treat them like princesses but women fail to (or just refuse to) treat men like princes in return.
But it applies in all aspects of social and corporate life. At work I apply the 'don't make your problems my problems' when something is brought up that's totally irellevant to my job role.
Currently, all staff are being forced to watch the 'Inside Man' TV series as 'training' yet almost nobody at my job level (freight train driver) has deep-level IT systems knowledge or has access to or does things as part of the job that has anything to do with IT-related corporate risk(s).
I don't even have a company-supplied electronic device, and only ever access company intranet at work when sitting at a desk using a thin client terminal (to do email, etc.).
