What happened to you was abuse -sexual abuse ,because you did not consent to it doesn't matter that it didn't go very far or that he stopped as he had no right to touch you at all without consent.
With abusers opportunity is all that they need
It really wouldn't matter if he liked you or not he barely knew you he's just saw his opportunity and tried to take it, you didn't freeze but you resisted that might be enough for some people to back off apparently it was for him.

They sense a potential opportunity and many are nothing if not opportunists, whether they have made commitments, vows or whatever. It is often just that simple. 🤷🏾‍♀ He was basically going to simply use you as a resource which is fucked up... but yeah. it's been known to happen.😒

Shouldn't have done what he did, no matter what. Marriage or not. There wasn't any provocation even. So there's not even a vague excuse.
