One time, I went to visit my cousin in another city, and she was sharing an apartment with a bunch of students. I think I was 20 at the time. I was planning to move in with my cousin because things at home were a bit tense. In case you were wondering, I was the one at fault. I was deep into smoking pot, partying, and guys. It was just a destructive lifestyle.
There were twin guys living in the apartment, and their brother came to visit at the same time I went to visit. One night, the brother tried his luck with me. I was lying in bed in my cousin’s room, chatting on an app called Mixit with random dudes 🙄🤭. The lights were off, and he opened the door to check on me. It was a Friday night, and everyone had gone out. I was waiting for my cousin to get back from work so we could go out and party. It was taboo not to go out and party on the weekend 😄. Dude asks what I’m doing and enters the room. Mind you, he doesn’t turn on the lights. In my mind, I’m thinking he just wants to check what I’m doing on my phone.
Dude gets on the bed and starts touching me intimately. Y’all, I jumped off the bed and ran to the bathroom, panicking. He never gave me the impression that he liked me. Why was he acting this way? We both acted like it never happened. Days later, a lady arrived. Turns out she was his wife. In my mind, I was like, “He’s married? What the heck!”
The following day, I’m in my cousin’s room, minding my own business as usual, and I hear sounds coming from the next room. The guy and his wife were doing it. I was horrified. Why did the guy want to sleep with me days before his wife showed up? Couldn’t he wait for her instead of trying to use me? Imagine if I’d let him have his way with me, and days later, I witnessed this. The heartbreak 😢. I dodged a bullet, y’all 😂.
