"Life" (or whatever this is)

Isn't life really quite sad and tragic when you think? Every day is a fight to stay alive and keep the people we love alive.

Maybe you might see things differently but for the most it's work hard and you can get a good job, then you can earn more money and buy stuff. But then the better the job you have the harder it is to maintain.

And people do that their whole lives and then just get sick and die anyway. And then life is even shittier because then there's anger and sadness and guilt and a million other feelings that come along for the ride too.

It feels like right now it's one day of struggle after another and there's not much to get out of it, like what am I trying so hard for? I just think it would be nicer just to lay down, go to sleep and not wake up next day you know?

One day the fight will be over. Only when it's my time, which isn't now so I go back to fighting some more and tomorrow it will be the same shit, just a different day.

I feel exactly the same x
Life is tough, but I still think my life is a precious gift from my mom, though.

I agree, especially as I'm currently helping my mother to deal with possibly serious medical problems.
Lifestyle creep, I'll never play that game. Life's a lot happier without it.

Life is a struggle. However understanding what we want and what we need can make life easier.
I have learned to stop chasing what i don't need.
I don't need the latest phone,or another guitar,i don't need 10 paiirs of boots or 30 tee shirts..etc.
Find out what you need and separate them from what you want.

@Entwistle I will settle with paying the bills and keeping the roof over our heads.

@CrazyChick21 Okay. Sometimes that is all we need.
I have been in that situation.

It feels like a constant barrage at times .. and yet I know I'm lucky compared to many

That would be too long of a wait. Plus I'd be unhappy all along. I realized that the things I need to make me happy have very little to do with the things I'm told I need to be happy.
And those things they say I need to be happy are the things I need to do to make them happy.
The purpose is to help others as I can and to try n have a good time. That's it. That's the point.

Just depends. If we didn't work what would we do all day? Sit around mindlessly?
@Munumbis you mean if we could still sustain a living but not need work to do so? I imagine we'd do things without the force of having to do them. Programmers, artists, writers, those like that usually love what they do until it becomes work. If they didn't need to pay bills they'd still do those things but with more joy in their hearts.
It's the reason to help each other. To help someone else when you can so it's easier for them. The hope is they'll do the same for you when they can and when you need. But you're pretty much right there.
