We have the power to influence who and what we are. No matter how hard I flap my arms, I'm not going to fly without help of some mechanical device. There are limits.
@bowman81 As one has already stated, “within reason”. I agree!

We gravitate to what we think about in millions of small ways. I said to a relative that Id grade a haul road for free because the mine was having trouble with it. Turns out that the forman of the company that contracted to haul from their pit was crazy and on dope. He just handed me the grader and let me grade the road. I'd never ran a grader in my life. I did pretty good with it. I scrapped a lot of the 100 K worth of gravel off the burms along the road and buttered the road with it. More experienced operators were worthless because the didn't give a shit. The company got none of there expertise they half assessed itvand even slept in the company's grader. I fixed it with a 70s grader that overheated every day at noon. All of that I litteraly spoke into being with an off hand comment.

If we accept that it’s perception that defines our individual reality, then yes - within reason

@Unefilletrescurieuse for certain tour mental state impacts your health - and vice versa. There’s a model out there that desires a close system of four factors, all influencing each other: cognition, emotion, physiology,, and environment. Can’t impact one without impacting them all.
@DownTheStreet indeed!
