Tired in Spirit

That's how I am. Not physically exhausted, but... something else, something less well-defined and harder to explain. Right now I don't really care about much anymore, if only because I've been so thoroughly disappointed in everything that I've ever put my trust in.
If someone were to approach me and ask me about my personal stance on, for example, the Israel/Palestine issue, or the profoundly stupid U.S.-Iran War (thanks a lot Trump, ya dickhead!), I'd probably just say something like, "Good. There are too many of us anyway, and with any luck we'll wipe ourselves out without causing too much damage to the Earth itself".
Humanity sucks. I'm sorry for resorting to slang terminology like this, but... it's true.
Okay, rant over.

Yes indeed humanity sucks.. Thats something people should learn fast and learn it well.. Then they can go on and live their lives as best that can knowing humans will let them down time and time again.. I never trust in other people.. Thats why i trust in God,, 😎

Accepting humans are not perfect is a good jump in your wisdom level..

@Adstar I don't expect perfection (assuming that such a goal is even possible to begin with), but I do expect people to have standards and convictions they're not willing to compromise. Surely that's not too much to ask.

@Pambie Well you are correct,, Humans in our current state of being can never achieve perfection.. But you are also wrong in thinking it is not too much to ask that people not compromise standards and convictions.. People put under pressure or who are very desirous to get ahead. compromise these things each and every day
Yep. It's a selfish self centered world like more than ever now.
Sounds like you've been let down so many times you've run out of reasons to keep your heart in it. That's a lonely place to be.

@DelightfulyDelectablyDelicious Maybe my approach to life has just been completely wrong thus far, and that's why I've been disappointed so often.
@Pambie Or maybe the world failed to meet you where you trusted it would. That's not wrong, that's brave even when it breaks you.
