Nothing, but I think if there is an afterlife, the most likely thing is that our conscious becomes part of a universal collective. That's at least kinda inline with the idea that the conscious is energy, which can't be destroyed.

@BohoBabe my thoughts are sonewhat similar, slightly modified. Nice

@Tattooedtaboo What do you think happens?
Tattooedtaboo · 46-50, M
@BohoBabe Im drawn towards Donald Hoffman's VR consciousness idea. I dont thing theres just 2 sides "before death/after death. I feel like theres at least 3 stages/phases, or more. I feel like this reality we experience is much like playing skyrim. This "me" now in this meat suit called homo sapien, is just a test or a lesson. By body is like an antenna or conduit for my consciousness. I dont believe consciousness evoles from the brain. I dont think physics is bottom level reality, i think consciousnes is. The real me is in the next stage playing a game or learning somethjng important. The little dark elf of whatevwr im playing and controllingwhile i play skyrim has no awareness or concept of me whos ultimately making his decisions for him and choosing who to fight or loot from. I feel like we are all (all living entities) are just different perspectives ir reflections one the same consciousness field, and its love or energy, or whztever you choose ti name it.

i think God decides what happens to us whatever that is

I'm a deist, so I believe wherever that deity is, that created the universe, will be sufficient for me.
if we look at ancient scriptures close enough, we will see that everything from Gold to Pearls to virgins, are all what man desires here on Earth, but those ancient people that had no riches could look forward to something in the afterlife.
In my opinion, gold is just another worthless mineral on Earth, just some pennyless schmuck came along, found something shinny, and convinced everyone else that it was valuable. Gold does serve a purpose, it is the absolute best mineral for conducting electricity. If I remember my science class correctly, it holds 98% of it's electricity from origin to destination. Other minerals like copper don't do that.
So while ideas of riches were to satisfy ancient people, we are too logical for all that and must pursue science to give us real answers.

@calicuz thank you :)

I don't pretend to know, and I leave my mind open because I think that leaves room for the truth. But I know we are energy, our bodies containers with an expiration. We are connected and love intertwines us closely.
