An 86-year life's journey that went far beyond any dreams I had as a kid growing up bed-ridden and isolated in the middle of nowhere, and 43 years with my late soul-mate and the family we raised.
As far as material things go, my house is full of antique stuff -- some dating back to the 1800's -- that I inherited from my parents and grandparents; and various mementoes accrued in travels around the world. Yes, they have price tags in terms of value to collectors; I keep reminding my sons to not just trash the whole lot, because there are people who not only will pay for them, but provide a caring home for them. But the memories each bear are priceless.
