Esoteric describes knowledge, subjects, or interests understood by or intended for only a small, specialized group. It refers to obscure, highly specialized, or secret information not meant for the general public, often characterized by an air of mystery or exclusivity.

Usage Examples:

I never heard the word before but i think it apples perfectly to Israel.. as the majority of people know nothing in regards to it
