I’m with my Savior… where will you spend eternity?

@LadyBronte I'm just saying that's what I would put on my tombstone. If people prepare for heaven, they won't have to be surprised. That's the whole purpose of being here on this earth. It gives us a chance to prepare for eternity.
And you're right. Thank you for highlighting Matthew 7:22–23, as it reminds us that just calling one's self a Christian or doing religious things, isn’t enough. Many people might think they’re following Christ because they go to church, pray, or do “good works,” but Jesus makes it clear that what matters is truly knowing Him and following Him from the heart. It’s not about appearances, tradition, or trying to be good—it’s about a committed relationship with Him and letting Him guide our lives. That’s what this passage has taught me, and I’m learning to follow Him more faithfully every day.

@LadyGrace Very nice. I'm sorry I misunderstood.
@LadyBronte I didn't notice. ♥🫂

That is not morbid at all. i think about it all the time. i think it is sad that people are missed after theya re gone and that they are not recognized for what they have done.
i want to be remembered as kind, generous, fun loving and adventurous. My tombstone is already up. it has my full name, birthday and "beloved mother, grandmother and sister"

@akindheart Same. I don't think it's morbid either.
I think it's being wise to live with intention. Live purposely and be fully aware of what kind of legacy you're building. In the end, the purpose of living is about loving and being loved.

@akindheart That's a great epitaph. I plan to purchase and set a stone soon as well. I am trying to leave as little headache for my kid as possible.
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
@Casheyane Yes, always live with intention and be present in the moment with loved ones. ❤. The only way to do life.
Casheyane · 31-35, F
"She was very loved, more than she knows."
I try my best to make people feel loved. But oddly, I don't know if I feel a good recipient of other's love. So I don't know. Maybe I'm blind to it. I hope so.
But here, no one ever speaks my love language. So it's hard to comment about me being loved.
What would you like for yours?

@Casheyane I feel like something similar to yours, or perhaps Mamapolo's would be appropriate. Even though I was never perfect, I have tried my best to make sure my people knew they were loved. As for feeling that love was reciprocated ...🤷🏼♀... But as you say, maybe it wasn't, or maybe I just didn't realize. Difficult to say. So I guess I'm still working everything out.
Casheyane · 31-35, F
@LadyBronte I hear you. Tight hugs to us both. May we find what we're looking for.
Adogslife · 61-69, M
Hopefully I’m remembered as strong, considerate, helpful and kind. I make particular effort to show that I care, so hopefully it makes those close feel tangibly better about themselves.
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
@Adogslife Nice. I like that!

@LadyBronte Ty 🙏🏻

I will start by saying I have told my kids to stuff my body in a wheelie bin when I go and save the cost of a funeral. I dont need a grave,an urn or a headstone to be remembered. But if it has to be words, all I want is.. "I made a difference" I figure I did that where it mattered to me..😷
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
@whowasthatmaskedman And that's all that matters, you made the difference you wanted to. Bravo.
Ferise1 · 46-50, M
@whowasthatmaskedman you made a difference… in what?
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Ferise1 I opened up their options and allowed them to choose from a wider menu in their own lives, by educating them well and arming them with the skills to go further. And they have..😷

“Every year, she was better than the year before. She never approached perfection, but she did try.”
Casheyane · 31-35, F
@Mamapolo2016 Hey, that's beautiful! And I feel the same.
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
@Mamapolo2016 I actually love this. ❤

A tombstone is not enough. Several books, on the other hand. Yeah. I'll leave the tombstone to the ones making it. After I'm gone, I wouldn't really care. I care now to make this world a bit less miserable.
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
@greensnacks Nice!
Cigarguy · 41-45, C
A good father
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
@Cigarguy Great answer!

I was a good, loving father.

@emiliya Nice!

Still thinking about it
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
@val70 Fair enough.

My remains will be donated to a forensic anthropology research facility (body farm).
So, no tombstone. No urn. Not even a notice on the net or in a newspaper.
