Interesting thing about cutting ties with someone and then you see their change in how they express themselves

I cut him off because I knew his way of thinking even though he wasn't too open with me. Playing all moderate and kind but really he was only mirroring me. I know how to read beyond the surface, though. After I cut ties with him he finally felt safe to express his hateful and morally low self. Really angry and ugly. Maybe he was walking on eggshells around me.
