I’m so sorry. And it happens fairly often. When people come here announcing that they’re looking for a partner, I try to warn them that this still isn’t really a dating site—it’s free, and on the dating sites that cost, they at least try to vet the posters. 🥺

I think a lot of the fake profiles seem to have quite simple usernames and profiles. Just a simple name and a few numbers would be a red flag. Also a profile without any stories or pictures that are too perfect. Sorry you got taken in 😕

I checked out her profile and that one looks actually quite tame compared to a lot of others on here. Even confesses in one of her posts that her pic isn't actually her. How did you find out they were lying? Did they just finally tell you?

SW is full of these catfish and other spammers. And only a handful of them actually get caught and booted by the staff.

I think I figured out the secret though. The spammers who AREN'T getting kicked out don't have any numbers in their usernames.

The one I met in here was very convincing too. She had everyone fooled on here. But, there was a girl who spent her whole time on here outing catfish lol
