People find me off putting at first unless I’m really faking it, I struggle with social queues, there’s also this rhetoric we are jumping on a trend

For a start the criteria was overly weighted to boys. Girls socially mask much better but often to their own physical detriment.

There's still much needed research in this area as far as girls are concerned. I'm interested to see what comes from it
@HijabaDabbaDoo 💯, I think there is a lack of understanding as to why we are seeing so many women and girls diagnosed. It’s hard to explain we were always there we were just missed. I’m going to a conference next year where the focus is on Autistic girls and women.
@Notladylike For sure, it makes sense for women and girls to have taken the back burner in an area that is predominantly led by men but the shift needs to be acknowledged in a way that isn't through a lens of shame or stigma. Let me know how the conference goes!
