@CookieCrisp I see this a lot now. What’s the difference?
@EBSVC its nuance, but empathy can evoke preferential treatment of one person over another, compassion would just be expressed to an individual, not at the expense of anyone else.

@CookieCrisp My understanding of those words as the exact opposite of what you said
@EBSVC how so? in school i had to do a report on a study about how just relying on empathy can cause us to inadvertently give preferential treatment to someone we empathize. i am not sure the exact study, but it looks similar to this article:
