Well the headline grabbed my interest, but it was on twitter so id rather not?

This happens alot to me. Do you boycott ceertain "sources" of info?

Absolutely, there's plenty of sites I would not treat as sources of news

This includes actual primary sources that do in fact cosplay as news sites

And it obviously includes any secondary conduit to those primary sites ... by conduit, I mean all social media ... social media is not news ... the only way social media is useful at all is in the case of a A) legit B) primary source having an account on that particular social media platform, and posting links to their own articles

but you don't need social media for that, a legit news aggregator like Google News suffices for real news

and if a freshly minted Google News account is surfacing articles from sketchy sites like Fox News, you can always click on the dots and hide all future articles from any sketchy site — you can personally curate Google News

the only use social media has is for engaging with specific indivudals you actually know

and now Twitter is one of the least legit social platforms, now it is merely a Gab / Parler / 4chan / Truth Social clone

but even prior to Musk destroying Twitter, Twitter was never necessary for obtaining actual journalism
