Perception Vs. Perspective?

Not sure if this is being used properly but...

My perception is...I don't have my parents. I feel lost, frozen. Sad.

But perspective....

My mom had her first kid at 21, then 23, then 30, and finally 33.

And she had an abusive marriage.

Here I am, at 37, kid and marriage free.

Thank GOD

She regularly held 3 jobs during Christmas to get us all presents.

My complaints are now at zero.

You moms are HEROES. Simply squeezing out a whole human is award worthy.
