I find it interesting...

...that when you respond to someone with the same tone they spoke to you in, they either become enamored or insulted, depending on the tone.

If they become insulted, it is usually because they don't like to have themselves mirrored. Then they insist they weren't being the way you returned to them.

This is why knowing the way you communicate and how what you type is read by other people is important. I'm sure it's uncomfortable when someone shows they know exactly the tone you put into it.

I never copy tones. I have my own way to express myself and they have theirs. Copying tones sounds like a very strange way to show how you feel. Asserting yourself might be a great deal more clearer.

@twistedrope I do express myself more often than not. I usually only mirror when someone is being didactic, condescending or rude to me.
