What are some traumatic things you went through as a child ?

My mother couldn't adequately fight her demons. Drugs, sex and violence were constants. I was put on the register before birth.

I spent most of my childhood in care as a result. Last time I lived at home I was 11.

That built huge anger and resentments. But it made me fiercely independent and strong willed.

The cliché is of course that I in turn became an addict myself and lived almost an identical life as I used drugs and drink to obliterate those emotions.

Luckily I got it and got help. But the scars still are there.
