What do you wish for most when connecting with someone?

I never predetermined any of those things. A relationship just happens. Over thinking everything as it develops is a path to failure. In the beginning you either feel a match or you don't. Someone of the best have started as a friend right before you unrealized while others, rare, can feel like fate like Vickie and I.
Saying this is what I want in a woman or a man is like a football coach planing for a game watching videos of the opponents previous games.
Game day comes and the other coach has a brand new play book.
Now everything is panic improvisation.

I like it when I feel I can be myself around them, I really like being able to be a bit silly without feeling too self conscious. I need to feel safe with people, some people from school started taking drugs and it makes me really nervous to be around them.

Just friendship here, but kindness and humor are on the top for me..
