Can technology truly replicate human consciousness?

I don’t believe it can, because it doesn’t understand human intent. Human actions have intention, but some also don’t, there’s subconscious and conscious decisions, not to mention different belief systems and understanding, while yeah, AI can have intent, its intent will always be to complete the task given, it’s a robot, it follows its code, while humans are capable of understanding beyond that and they consistently break and push against limits

No way. Our best scientists can't explain it so how can we create technology to replicate it.
