In this busy world, how do you break away from the hustle and recharge?

I find that even when I do take breaks, the effect is gone as soon as I hit the grind again. It’s like a nagging desire to just stop and surrender.

I don't have much free time, so when I do, it helps to remove myself from my surroundings for a bit, and go out for a cup of coffee. I go down to the local Quick Chek, relax with some soup and coffee, and enjoy the music and the company of my fellow regulars. Sometimes I'll watch something uplifting on my phone while I eat.

@AbbeyRhode that getting away part, that’s been a common theme in the thread. Maybe I need to do more of that

@Rumination It really makes a difference. I call it my 'sanity break'. Just a few minutes that are all mine, away from anyone who wants anything from me.

@AbbeyRhode And when you get back to it? The weight of the world doesn’t reposition itself on your shoulders? That’s a problem I experience

@Rumination Some days more than others. Some days call for a second break, if possible. If it's not, music helps. Maybe I'll treat myself to a healthy snack.

@AbbeyRhode I do rely heavily on music

@Rumination Me, too. Energetic and happy music really helps my mood.
