"Woke", "wokest", "wokism". It makes me furious when I hear it. The word was "woke", [b]period[/b]. It meant something very specific once, but was taken and rebranded by people with [b]no clue[/b] where it originated or what it meant. 馃檮

@bijouxbroussard Without it having the context it would mean for some, it infuriates me, as I know deeply it's disrespectful in its usage now to those from that period. And everyone who uses it now is trying to disrespect movements that are looking for a more just society.

@ElwoodBlues For people like DeSantis to [b]still[/b] think being aware of real historical injustices is a [b]bad[/b] thing, is telling indeed. It means he鈥檚 admitting to being a racist. But so many people who don鈥檛 think they鈥檙e racists are mis-using the term as an insult out of pure ignorance.
