Why would someone create false rumours about another person?

Beware of the so called friends who appear to care for you, whispering things about another person to you. They could just be making all that crap up. Maybe they just enjoy watching you react.

never happened to me, but if it did it wouldn't bother me as i know who i am and know the truth, false rumours don't change the truth.
