1932 Tod Browning film Freaks.
Introduced to audiences of the time, an up close view of human beings with abnormalities, within the carnival world. No 'special effects' here!, They go about their daily lives, and routines as the rest of us do....until one of their friends is in danger of being poisoned, by a 'normal' member of their group, and all bets are off and the 'code of the freaks' is enacted.
