Since strangers barely know you, they don't judge u and u won't notice any difference in their behavior. They just listen to u. Maybe that's why it's easier to open up to some stranger.

It doesn't sound awful at all. It's a strange thing how much easier it is to be honest with people you don't know. Perhaps because you don't care as much about how they view you? In a way, it's not much different than the old tactic of writing a letter to no one just to get the words out. And it's a chance to hear things from a perspective you haven't heard before. Which I suppose is the entire point of this place, isn't it?
