Remember what this weekend is actually for.

Its not about the 3 day weekend for some.
Its not about a bbq with your family and friends
Its not about traveling
Its not about beer and burgers
Its not about the beaches
Its not about spending time by the pool
Its not about the picnic at the park.

Its about those who gave all to keep us in a country that is a bit safer.
It is about having empathy for the families who are being missed this weekend and everyday.
Its about the sacrifice that brave and woman gave because they believed in fighting for your right to be safe in your own home.

Renumber to take a moment to thank the brave men and woman who gave all and never asked for anything in return.

Renember to be kind to those who are struggling a bit more this weekend.

Remember land of the free, because of the brave.

AMEN.

Well said. Thank you.
I missed the draft by one number back in 1971 or i would have had to fight in Vietnam.
Back then, all men had to register for the draft when you turned 17 yrs old. And if our country was involved in a world war, you would have to serve if you were needed...you had no choice...with very few exceptions.
Most men my age and older will reflect this weekend on the decisions they had to make in their late teenage years when serving our country.
