One of my favourite lyrics from The Roots is “[i]the Devil wants me as is, but God, he wants more[/i]”

I like that dichotomy - accepting ourselves for who we are along with our “sins”, or continually demanding from ourselves something better.

I think I fall into the former.

I don't want to catch the devil in you. I want to release all the beauty in you the devil is holding captive, and doesn't want the wotld to see.

Well, strip off the religious trappings and I'll say I figure we're all a combination of the good and the bad, the weak and the strong, the charitable and the selfish, etc.

Everything you write invokes deep thoughts.
