Can we have a laugh about the ridiculous things people say when you are bereaved.

When my mum died
OP. You find yourself a nice boyfriend.

Me. I wasn't having an affair with my mum

OP. You know what I mean

Me. No actually I don't. My mum knew about the men in my life

3 months after my boyfriend died
Have you found another boyfriend yet?

Hello, just browsing and I agree with your comment.
Insensitive idiot.
One of the common remarks are "Can you still live there?"
I know a lovely guy who lived with his mother and the housing people told him that he was not to worry about anything because if anything happened they would give him a 1 bedroom flat.
As soon his mum died the flat was ready.
People kept asking if he had to leave the flat he shared with his mother and he said "I don't know. I have moved".
