Dodged two bullets tonight.
Tornado on the ground 2 miles east of us ,another on the ground 8 miles north .We only got some rain and wind.No word on damage yet.

That is SO scary!!! When I was a kid, we used to be able to see them two miles away. I used to see them and run screaming to my grandfather. If they were that close, we would all pile in the car and drive down inside the potato cellar.
Tornado are so unpredictable. You never know which way they are going to move.
One thing I mentioned to Cherokeepatti, is that they now sell portable tornado shelters about the size of an outhouse. It's possible that a tornado might pick one up and slam it around, but you would survive.
