Anyone else trying to move out their parents house?

I am 31 and trying to move from my parents house. My parents are really strict and protective. They can best be explained as tiger and helicopter parents. They try to dictate every aspect of my life. They want me to live a good life but the way they want me to live. They are very religious and and traditional. It's gotten to the point that I can not take it anymore. I spent and wasted my 20's living for them, that it's time for me to live for myself. They think I am weak and helpless and need them for everything. They fail to see I am strong enough to live on my own. They try to make you feel guilty and try to justify their actions. They fail to understand how toxic they are. They underestimate what I am capable of. I feel they rely on me too much. I help them out with rent and other things when it come to technology. I have 3 older siblings that don't help much. I am sick and tired and ready to move out the city. I don't have much money or savings. But trying to spend the next 2 months saving up to move. I have found a few affordable cities to move to. I love NYC and have love for this city. However it is too expensive and not worth living here anymore. NYC is one of the most overrated cities in the world. It's a sh*t hole full of a** h*les.

I am out for years.

@Donotfolowme Was trying to find affordable apartments in New Jersey for rent but couldn't find any.
@skip2mylou I live in Nj. Even the apartments in low income areas are expensive imo

@MorbidCynic Yeah that is what I noticed, my two main choices are Ohio and Connecticut. I've found some really nice and affordable places there.
