How do you deal with arrogant, overly confident people?

Easy,I ignore them.. There is no reason for me to get close to them so I mind my own business and if they by any chance try to put their nose in my business then I just let them know how unwelcome they are in my life. Kindly of course,no reason to be uncivilized.
