What would you do if your partner was caring for your pet and the pet got hurt?

My husband has to watch my dog because I travel for work. My husband is currently staying at our vacation rental property to oversee workmen for various odd jobs which is in a desert. He accidentally shaved my 12 year old dog too low and now he got bad sun burned and he didn't notice or tell me for days. I'm so upset.
I'm so upset.
He did not want me to fuss about it.
