How do you cope when bad experiences still cross your mind

Personally, I intellectualize them. I know that the emotional weight of those memories are hard to really unfeel and unremember, but I try to contextualize all experiences as part of a learning process towards betterment and towards understanding.

You don't grow as a person when you're comfortable. Trying to find a lesson or a meaning in those experiences can really help you to move forward and to internalize the idea that it will make you a better, or at least a more informed, person in the end
