When is the age gap too much?

I'm wondering what standards everyone has when it comes to age gaps. When is older too old?

My husband and I have a 13 yr age gap...I wish I had have listened to the warnings...the age gap didnt matter much until we had kids and he was 40 and I was still in my 20s...
@Fantabulous it didn’t turn out well? 😲

@Fantabulous does it still work out ok between you two, besides the kids?

@Temporallube our parenting is very different and has been the reason for most of our conflict, we were literally raised in different times.

@decemberween not really no, I think I outgrew him many years ago.

@Fantabulous sorry to hear that

@Fantabulous it's harder when he's 80 and you're in your 60s....and you want to go out and he's too tired....

@Platinum yes, the noticeable change was already from him being mids 40s and me being 30...we wanted different things. We have basically lived separate lives for most of the last 12 years.
@Fantabulous oh wow. I’ve never heard of that type of conflict in an age gap relationship.

But it does make a lot of sense. It’s like two different clashing ideologies manifesting.

I’m open to age gap relationships. I think I’d probably won’t have that scenario.

@Temporallube Well many things, more than just the age play a part...so I am sure many have worked...I just personally know so many that haven't.

@Fantabulous I'm sorry it's not worked out...some older people are much older than their years and that would affect any relationship...
