@BlueMetalChick Oh yeah; both of those situations have inherent danger potential, especially the former. Actually, those kinds of situations can form compound phobias.

@BlueMetalChick Pretty much the same as yours lol. Its weird because I developed them as I got older.

@BlueMetalChick Unless they are those aggressive Africanized bees I don't worry but some of the other flying stinging things I freak out over.

@DaveStevenson I'd say I've gotten used to it, but that doesn't mean I'm not afraid of it, nor the hurt that follows.

@Amyrakunejo Cicadas bring back some fun memories. Once, during the 17 year cicada migration, I filled a brown paper lunch bag with about forty of them, brought it to school, and placed it underneath a pillow at the back of my English classroom. When someone kicked the pillow out of the way, the whole bag full of them opened and they went flying around the room causing a huge panic.

@SW-User I'm not scared of maggots but they are super gross looking, and they're also incredibly unsanitary.

Maggots aren't worms though, they're actually the larval stage of flies. Which makes sense. Flies are nasty af, even though once again they're essential to the environment. So it would only follow that their first stage of life is equally gross.
