I feel like the world is turning off with coronavirus thing. It's silent and weary, makes me feel like zombies films when the town is empty.

Largely because people are panicking.
Reasonable measures are being taken, but because we are not used to taking action with immediacy as a preventative measure it makes things seem worse than they are.
Our society has spent so much time reacting rather than preparing, that this shift seems foreign and alarming.
