Hey y'all have an update.
I confronted him tonight about the brushing his teeth.
He told me the reason why he doesn't do it is because he forgets; it was never turned into a habit when he was a child. Also his lame excuse was also He hates the taste of mint 😂
So we discussed mouthwash and next grocery shop we are buying some for him.
Also he actually brushed his teeth tonight! So proud I feel like I actually hit a milestone with him.
Thank you everyone for the helpful tips and advice 😊

@Unbound97 Great news!

Thanks guys 😊 I'll look into different toothpaste flavors if I can.

@Unbound97 even water would be better then nothing. Getting him into the habit is what you want right now. Your on your way to doing that, just have to remind him for a little while

Tell him there is a woman named Miram, who has perfect teeth, brushes every day and is interested in you.
She is also completely and without a doubt, not asexual.
Did I mention that I have great hair?

Either send him to a dentist:
1. He probably needs it since he doesn't brush his teeth
2. The bill might remind him that toothpaste and brush are cheaper (and more comfortable) than a dentist;
or try to talk to him and see why he doesn't brush them, if there is any reason etc. and then try to explain to him why it's important. If he doesn't even want to try you might rethink your choices and if you really want to be with a person that doesn't care about his basic hygiene...

Take him to a dentist and let them explain why it’s crucial
Unmaintained teeth and gums can lead to lots of health issues
And that’s not an insecurity for you

That's a deal breaker for me. Doesn't the dentist tell him all the problems including heart conditions from bad oral hygiene?
Unbound97 · 26-30, F
@BearDownChicago he's never been to a dentist nor does he even want to see one at that. I've tried convincing him to go to one after I had to get $2000 worth of work done to my own teeth. He didn't want a bar of it.
BearDownChicago · 41-45, M
@Unbound97 wow that's pretty crazy. I hate going to the dentist but recognize it's very important. For me, it is ine of those things that I couldnt deal with. As much s it pains, I would have to leave

Ewwwww. God only knows about the rest of his hygiene. That’s nasty. Move him out.

Is there a reason he gives for not brushing them, sensitive teeth maybe. I had a friend who breath was very bad to, it wasn't the teeth making the smell because the person didn't have any. It was there stomach causing the bad smell because they didn't go poo maybe once a week or two. I would say something everytime I smelled it but there wasn't anything they could do except try to use the restroom more, taking something to help them go and it wouldn't stink for a few days. I told this just to let you know that it might be something other than his teeth, but if it is mouth wash would help, not as good as brushing but he's got to start some where.

The very BEST thing you can do is get a pamphlet from the dentist's office which explains what can happen if you don't take care of your teeth or brush them. If he has gingivitis due to poor oral hygiene he could transmit it to you.
However, some people just naturally have horrible breath and there is almost nothing they can do to stop it. It's because they are constantly producing sulfur in their own stomach.
There is a mouth rinse now that is supposed to kill ALL horrible bad breath stenches for 24 hours. You should buy him a bottle...I think it's called Smartmouth.

@Unbound97 You're welcome. A friend of mine said his sister suffers from horrible breath and it's horrible right after she brushes her teeth. He asked me if I knew of any cures and at the time, I didn't. Then I saw this product on television, and I said...Wow...they are fixing EVERYTHING now...😂

That's disgusting....
Tell him the people of the internet are revolted about it, and his dentist is looking forward to fitting his dentures

4 years with this?
Unbound97 · 26-30, F
@juiceyangel333 I guess that's why I'm here asking for advice 😓
juiceyangel333 · 31-35, F
@Unbound97 I guess there are other things you like about him that made you date him for so long

Buy him a new tooth brush and be like if you don't start using this then I'm gone.
QueenPeach · 26-30, F
Should have bought him teeth brush for Christmas ☺️
Unbound97 · 26-30, F
@QueenPeach I have bought him multiple brushes and have bought him tooth paste also. Nothing seems to really stick with him. I've even looked in his mouth to see any cavities before and to no surprise there was. He claimed his teeth were fine because he couldn't feel any pain. I just don't understand him.
PhoenixPhail · M
That's so strange. It takes just a minute to brush. I can't imagine what his problem with it would be. If I were you, I wouldn't kiss him, either.
Can you get him to go to the dentist? Maybe it's painful for him to brush. In any case, that's so gross.

Ultimatum. Don't let him touch you or have any sort of physical contact, especially sex unless he thoroughly brushes his teeth.
SkeetSkeet · 100+, F
@SumKindaMunster yeah eww your vagina would probably get an infection if he went down on you

🤔....I don't know what to say, except I'm going to go brush my teeth now since I just woke up and That's the first thing I do.
Drewman · 46-50, M
Put some toothpaste on your tongue and brush his teeth with it.
AirForce687 · 36-40, M
Take him into the bathroom, sit him in front of the sink and brush his teeth yourself. It's what I would do.
Rickg · 31-35, M
Wait till he falls asleep and then brush his teeth
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
Brush his teeth for him... like a dog. Or... leave him.
