be quiet for a moment

Dog barking outside, wind in the trees, radio from dining room, and the ever present hum of non existent cicadas in my ears.

*Traffic from about 1/4 mile away.

*Jungle Boogie an old Kool and the gang tune on my Mother's tv in the other room (let's hope it's a tv ad for something and she's not getting into Tarantino 😳)

*Low noise from my PC fan.

*Occasional whistle from my phones message tone.

My ear ringing with rage.
It's so inspirational.

My thoughts, cars racing by, birds, voices, a plane, machinery humming, footsteps.

My dog walking around, her nails clicking on the tile.

The furnace kicked on. Someone drove by. The man’s watching TV in the other room.
