we do?
A lot of people speak to me like I'm stupid when I make a mistake or they're just really mean to me. 😅 and I'm like damn that kinda hurts but it happens often. The other day I was ringing up this guy and his wife I assume and he told her that they were going to pay separately. So I asked him if it was going to be a separate transaction so I wouldn't scan it with the other items. And he said "I wasn't talking to you" 😵😵😨 I guess he wasn't..but Idk it was kind of mean

@Poptartinvasion: Wow, what an ass. Take heart kid, he is probably jut a miserable prick who feels inferior and he is so stupid he thinks if he belittles others he will feel better about himself.

@NearMiss: that is a really good response. I'm working on giving a good response during situations like that.
@Katielass: omg. It's crazy. I get sooo many customers like that and I'm nothing but nice! So I'm like I'm I too nice?? Does my niceness seem fake?? Lol. I'm honestly asking this question because I don't know why they're so meannn

@Poptartinvasion: When I first began working at the bookstore where I slaved for 12 years, one night at closing time I had an old guy, a retired doctor I later learned, say he wanted to put some of this on his account, write a check for some of it, and write another check to pay off some of his account's balance. I knew there was a way to do that, but I couldn't figure it out. He started ranting at me and one of the insults was "How stupid do you have to be to work here?". I finally leaned over the register so no one else could hear and said, "How about stupid enough to jump across this counter and kick your ugly ass?". He went off on another rant about how he was going to get me fired, but when I jumped up on the counter he dropped everything and ran. When a manager asked me what that was all about I said I didn't know, I was just trying to be helpful.
@hunkalove: 😂😂 they always pull the "how stupid do you have to be" card. But honestly if they were on the other side I'm sure they'd be the "stupid" ones. Everyone should work in retail atleast once in their life and understand how it is to deal with shitty people like themselves.

@NearMiss: Later, I told some coworkers what happened and they said the guy did that a lot, finding a new employee at a register and creating a problem, belittling them and causing trouble. I was also told his wife had died recently and his grief had turned to anger. In any case, I never saw him again.
