Is Andrew Bolt Australias "Hannity?' And do we need that filth?

In the wake of Cardinal George Pells loss in his appeal against his sentence for child abuse only one public voice has so far spoken out for him. Not because there is legal doubt. But because "it doesnt made sense" to him.
Now Andrew Bolt is the kind of far right commentator a lot of things dont make sense to. Homosexuality. Abortion, religious tolerance. You guessed it.. He is a long term Murdoch Fox employee. Personally, like many Australians, I ignore him. He has no place in mainstream Australia. Does that make us more mature than some other places? I like to think so.. But in this case the man stands for a disgraced Cardinal of the catholic church who has been tried, found guilty and lost his appeal on all counts. That skips over four decades of enabling and covering up of the most heinous crimes by other priests, for which he was never tried.
If there comes a time when free speech should be answered with a fist in the mouth, I really think Andrew Bolt has reached it.
