Right? I get so fucking bored with people who will just never question or change anything they've already accepted as true.

@BlueVeins People engage in so many logical fallacies, layering them one on top of each other. And completely give into the many mental weaknesses we have, such as conforming to authority. i can understand someone being brainwashed. But a grown adult, believing that research goes likes this "news outlet smeared a person with what they consider a bad person. Smearing them is an argument. Their smear is accurate because I don't question that source's authority. Looking at what the targeted person actually said themselves, aka checking the primary source is unreliable". When you add the censorship from governments and social media giants to this, it gets frighteningly orwellian.

I absolutely agree with this. Case in point why I avoid others. Well said!

I've been muted by a racist and a feminist both with in the last hour. People only want an echo chamber. To wallow in their own self richousness no matter what reality is it facts there are.

@GoldenWorm I absolutely love learning new things, exposing myself to new ideas and challenging what myself and others know. As a result, I go into any field with the stance of "I will follow wherever cold, hard facts and statistics go, regardless of who believes what, however many people believe something to be true, and whatever the apparent moral implication for believing something might be. When looking for an accurate understanding of something, I care about facts, that's it. Emotions, desires and social conformity mean nothing and actually impede understanding". It also helps to have the simultaneous stance that "everyone is out for themselves", look carefully at how people select what they are offended at, and who they defend. My partner is disabled, certain people only care when they can socially get something out of caring.

@MartinTheFirst Yeah I did. I genuinely didn't, there are so many people on here, all as forgettable as the next person. This is just a small site populated by anons, almost all of which thousands of miles from me, I don't care to remember anyone on here. But it's strange how you thought that a post about dishonest people was referring to you. Though if i was to pin it down to someone, I just had a conversation with someone after you who was very dishonest.

@cunningcrocodile rrrright, see you later alligator

@MartinTheFirst To make this about you, is pathetically narcissistic. I had a disagreement with someone after our conversation who was being dishonest. This person certainly reminded me of the sort of dishonesty you get from people when they can hide behind their computer. But seriously, make it all about you. It's pathetically narcissistic. You have a forgettable everything.
