I am highly suspicious of the Liziqi YouTube channel.

As charming as it is, following the various activities of a simple, naturalistic Chinese girl who lives in the mountains and works with tools and her hands in traditional ways, the cinematography makes her content very dubious. It has a very high production value. You're telling me that this simplistic, traditional, naturalistic woman also owns multiple high grade video cameras and has the time and knowledge to film herself from a variety of angles, take B-roll shots, and edit all of this in post so she can put it on YouTube? Something ain't right.

Just took a peek. And yeah, there's no way.

@sarabee1995 I did some digging. Apparently her earlier content was posted on a different channel and while she did edit them herself, the production value was noticeably lower. It was only after she gained a following that some film students decided they wanted to team up with her and do her cinematography, which is the case now. So it's not as fake as I thought it was.

@BlueMetalChick Ahhh, makes sense. The production really is quite well done.
