People's approach towards finding/creating conflicts or problems even when there isn't any.

Keepitsimple · 51-55, F
I like to do what I want to do when I want to do it.
SwampFlower · 31-35, F
The selfishness of others.
DragonFruit · 61-69, M
I don’t even know....I guess it’s just my nature.
SW-User
@DragonFruit I wonder if it ever really is a nature, or something pushes us into it. Maybe at such a young age we may not even realise what.

@SageAdvice so true
Sicarium · 46-50, M
It's proven easier in the short term, people can be shit. Long term is a different story though.
Sicarium · 46-50, M
@SW-User Very. But it can also be enlightening, to a degree. Maybe it's a matter of how long the isolation lasts or what happens after it.
SW-User
@Sicarium Oh definitely. One can only truly reflect on themselves in isolation, but then their instincts tell them when its time for company. :) I hope, lol.. coz I rely on my instincts.
Sicarium · 46-50, M
@SW-User I've got a feeling that your instincts will serve you well.
SW-User
Meh like my own company.
But if being honest, it's selfish. And everyone says it's about other people's BS, but what about our own. Just sayin
SW-User
@SW-User Lol yeah we all have our own brand of BS too... but understanding that takes a certain level of internal growth.
SW-User
@SW-User yup, takes some maturity to look at self.
SW-User
Needing to recharge from the first world problems, selfishness, and shallowness of some people. 😔
sarabee1995 · 26-30, F
@SW-User 👆️ this!
SW-User
@sarabee1995 I was just outside, and people are annoying me!😩😩😩
Magenta · F
I'm not a loner. I'm just content with my own company for the most part and don't mind being alone.

I think some label themselves that/choose that because it's self serving in a way. They don't have to commit to others, deal with or face the human of others and in themselves maybe. Not wanting to deal with other human's BS means they don't want to deal with their own, as they are human too and no different, right?

No-one is an island.
SW-User
@Magenta I love this response.
Magenta · F
@SW-User Thank you. ☺️
DunningKruger · 61-69, M
I don't think anything enticed me to be a loner. Quite honestly, I wish I had more friends. It's just that people are so exhausting, even the ones I like.
The fact that I can't make a complete fool of myself when alone
SW-User
@HelterSkelter1 But who witnesses it and gets a giggle from it?
@SW-User Everyone I end up around, in the end
SW-User
@HelterSkelter1 Lol.. I think its sweet, to be able to make people laugh.
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
I suppose it's because there are very few times when i actually enjoy being part of a group.

Groups are always led by the noisiest/neediest personality. That's a major turn-off for a start.

I rarely drink. So that makes socializing in pubs and clubs fairly redundant.
I'm 130 miles from 'home'. So friends are distant.
117 miles from my 'team' that i follow.
And i'm a carer for my mother so all and all it's something of a 'solo' life.
SW-User
The safety of it. The ease of not having to interact. The quietness and aloneness soothes me. No expectation. No demands for time.
SW-User
@SW-User yeah when you can find them lol
SW-User
@SW-User Lol they're always there. But depending on our mind frame, they're not always inspired.
There are so many times I will think of something and just shrug it off because I couldn't be arsed.
SW-User
@SW-User yeah I guess when they come out in raw form perhaps they're more real than thought out prose that gets edited and played with
Rokasu · 36-40, M
Disappointment mostly.
MenzernaSF4000 · 36-40, M
In general I would say I am a introvert and likes peace. But real reason is my imperfections and insecurities. I am embarrassed about my imperfections.
SW-User
@MenzernaSF4000 we are all imperfect though and I hope you see there is nothing to be embarrassed about.
MenzernaSF4000 · 36-40, M
@SW-User For long time I thought neither I am nor my life is perfect. Over the years, I have come to realisation that imperfections and issues happens with others too. And when you meet someone who have gone though something similar as you have, its like peaceful because you aren't alone, others struggle too.
Ryannnnnn · 31-35, M
Most people I know wanna drink all night or get stoned and I don't have the energy to stay out all night anymore/don't really drink or do drugs anymore.
SW-User
@Ryannnnnn I do find it really bizarre when people don't grow out of the drink/party all night scene at some point in their lives.
Ryannnnnn · 31-35, M
@SW-User Yeah, i did at 20-21.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
Not wanting to put up with people’s crap a whole lot. I don’t mind people if they are respectful and not pushy...pushiness stresses me out because I have to be stubborn about things.
Lanyx · 41-45, M
If you want something done your way, do it yourself. I am an INTJ, the most introverted on the scale. I got a very fierce sense of independence.
SW-User
At the moment...I’m still in isolation mode cos mental illness 🤷‍♂️
SW-User
@SW-User What kind?
SW-User
Bipolar type 2, finally diagnosed and medicated for the first time in my life.@SW-User
SW-User
@SW-User I hope that works well for you. I don't know too much about it but from what I recall it can be hard to deal with.
I think for me it's just the path of least resistance; the way things end up, there's nothing much of a entice to it.
SW-User
Even when I was a child, I’d go out of my way to be by myself, much to my parents dismay so I guess it’s an innate quality
SW-User
Part romanticized idea...part all that's in my head...part my hate for being questioned on my actions...
SW-User
@SW-User I have a similar dislike for being questioned on my actions... and will only allow the very closest to even go there.
DDonde · 31-35, M
Socializing with people that aren't close friends is very stressful and usually unproductive for me.
I also just like having alone time as well. Especially when I'm working and I have to be around people all day. It ends up being exhausting.

The company
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
Not always but choice. But I deal better around one or two people at a time. I actually enjoy people and small groups.

@basilfawlty89 Meaningful connections. Same for me.
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
